Blueberry Production Manager
Our client is a producer of Blueberries, and they are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Production Manager to join their team. They are based in the Klapmuts-Simondium area.
Key Performance Areas:
- Production, orchard management and new development
- Assist with managing the production budget and production statistics reports
- Human Resource Management
- Planning of production improvement activities
- Quality control
- Logistics
- Maintaining SIZA and GlobalGap standards as well as other accreditations
Requirements:
- A relevant tertiary qualification
- At least 5 years’ practical production management experience
- Production and technical knowledge of blueberry cultivation
- Effective communication skills
- Strong people management skills
- Human Resource experience, managerial- and leadership skills
- Organizational and planning ability
- Able to work independent and take initiative
- Flexible, able to handle conflict
- Good interpersonal skills
- High energy levels
- Computer literacy (MS Office)
- Problem solving skills
