Diesel Mechanic

Our client is one of the leading role players in the pome industry, located in Grabouw, Western Cape. They are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join their organization.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for fleet maintenance as per scheduled maintenance plan
  • Fault finding
  • Adherence to safe working procedures
  • Logging job cards on the system
  • Attending to breakdowns if and when required
  • Any other duties that may be required

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Mechanical trade test certificate as a Diesel Mechanic
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a mechanical workshop
  • Sound technical knowledge of trucks, forklifts and other diesel vehicles
  • Medically fit to perform duties as a mechanic
  • Computer literate
  • Valid driver’s license (Code EC with a valid PDP or forklift license will be advantageous)
  • Willing to work shifts and overtime
