Human Resource Practitioner
Our client in the West Coast is seeking to appoint a Human Resource Practitioner.
The main responsibilities are as follows:
- Assisting line management with recruitment, selection and induction
- Composing Human Resources plan in line with company expectations and Employment Equity Plan
- Supporting line management with disciplinary and grievance procedures
- Promotion of relationship building
- Giving advice with respect to labour relations aspects
- Support with yearly wage negotiation
- Representing the company during disputes at the CCMA
- Assisting with the drafting and training of procedural and substantive agreements
- Drafting of EE and Skill plans
- Coordinating all training
- Coordinating and facilitating the application of performance management systems
- Assisting with composing the competency profiles
- Processing staff movement requests
- Providing information to line management regarding compensation
- Managing employee assistance program (EAP)
- Assisting with audits (BRC, SIZA, HACCP)
Requirements
- Relevant Human Resources qualification (B. Tech or Diploma)
- 3 years’ experience working as a practitioner in a Production environment
- Leadership skills
- Good communication skills (interpersonal and written)
- Good computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Client-centred orientation
- Initiative
- Strategic management skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Bilingual (English and Afrikaans)
