Fruit Quality and HR Coordinator

Our client is a vertically integrated citrus producer, packer and marketer to global markets. They are seeking a suitable candidate to assume the role of Fruit Quality and HR Coordinator within the Production environment. This position is based in Citrusdal.

Responsibilities:

  • Human Resources administrative functions
  • Recruitment of staff and contracting of seasonal workers
  • Performance and productivity management through goal setting, training, corrective actions and monitoring of piece work
  • Continuously monitor product and process quality and advise management on corrective actions
  • Maintain discipline by providing support and advice to managers on appropriate corrective actions
  • Effective coordination of employee housing with regard to needs assessments, inspections, maintenance and repair checks
  • Establishing a safety culture with relation to Occupational Health and Safety in production teams 

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or 10 years relevant experience within an agricultural environment
  • 5 Years’ knowledge and experience gained in the fruit production industry
  • Fluent in isiXhosa
  • Proven experience with recruiting seasonal workers and labour contractor relations
  • Thorough understanding of BCEA, LRA, EEA and OHS legislation
  • Valid driver’s license
