Logistics Account Manager

Our client is a prominent player in the fruit export industry, and they are seeking to appoint an Account Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will be a goal-driven go-getter with a strong work ethic and a passion for service delivery. This position is based in Strand and will report to the Managing Director.

Responsibilities:

The planning, contracting and controlling the supply chain activities in the export process of perishable products worldwide.

Main functions:

  • Develop the optimum supply chain
  • Contract service providers that will perform the logistics activities
  • Setup service contracts and procedures
  • Manage the executions of the supply chain
  • Interact with the exporter to ensure a successful execution
  • Perform administration activities to control the process

Minimum requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • A tertiary degree in Logistics will be advantageous
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in fruit export logistics
  • An a above average computer literacy will be required
  • Resilient with the ability to cope under pressure
  • Team player
  • Service orientated
  • Accurate and system driven
