Sales Manager

Our client is a producer and supplier of tisane (herbal tea) products in South Africa and exports to countries around the globe. They are seeking to appoint a Sales Manager to be based in the Western Cape.


  • Prepare sales analyses and reports on operational issues, market trends, competitors, and customer to facilitate overall decision-making on sales and brand management strategy
  • Prepare a business plan to identify and develop new business opportunities to maximize sales and profitability for the company
  • Developing listings within suitable accounts directly or indirectly and drive sales activity by evaluating the potential
  • Implement sales and distribution plans to meet customer requirements
  • Carry out market research and competitor activity reports
  • Planning and coordinating store operations
  • Monitor the sales figures against forecasts, analyze and interpret trends and capitalize on data to maximize sales and profit
  • Oversee the implementation of customer service standards and ensure customer satisfaction and efficient handling of complaints
  • Organize and implement sales promotional and any marketing activities
  • Implement policies and procedures to ensure full compliance
  • Recruit and develop International agents, distributors and importers to expand sales internationally
  • Effectively manage and control sales budget to achieve targeted sales


  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Sales Management and / or Marketing Management
  • 3-5 years’ proven experience in sales, marketing, brand establishment & development
  • In FMCG/Retail environment
  • Business oriented and performance driven
  • Commercial acumen to finalize the negotiation of prices and/or agreements
  • Ability to drive and reach sales targets
  • Excellent customer service and rapport building skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Negotiation skills
