Senior Accountant

Our client in the Citrusdal area currently offers an opportunity for a dynamic, energetic and experienced Senior Accountant to join their team. This position report to the Finance Director. 

Responsibilities:

  • Monthly financial management statements and liaison with management team
  • Setting annual budgeting and reporting on monthly deviations
  • Cost analyses and financial reporting
  • Cash flow planning, reporting and management
  • Implementation/enforcement/management of internal controls and effective financial systems
  • Financial control, management of debtors and creditors
  • Salary administration and oversight of wage administration
  • Annual audit
  • Liaison with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, lawyers, bankers, insurers and statutory institutions such as SARS
  • Statutory reporting such as VAT, EMP, excise, SAWIS
  • General office management

Requirements:

  • A B.Comm/B.Acc degree supported by at least five years of relevant experience
  • Experience in the agricultural, packaging, and/or processing sector will count in the candidate’s favour
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office & Pastel)
  • Knowledge of EzyWine will advantageous
  • Negotiating skills
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Strong human relationships with the ability to manage and motivate people
