Verantwoordelikhede:

• Bestuur van ‘n 50ha produksie eenheid wat insluit alle aspekte van produksie-, arbeids-, pakhuis- en gehaltebestuur

Vereistes:

• Graad 12 met ‘n minimum van 5 jaar ervaring in tafeldruif verbouing
• ‘n Landbou agtergrond en kwalifikasie sal as verdere aanbeveling dien
• Deeglike kennis en ondervinding in alle aspekte van besproeiing, bemesting en bespuiting van tafeldruiwe
• Basiese tegniese en meganiese kennis
• Goeie menseverhoudinge en kommunikasievaardighede
• Vermoë om dissipline te kan handhaaf
• Vermoë om in ‘n span saam te werk
• Vermoë om onder druk te kan werk
• Rekenaarvaardig

Unit Manager (Table Grapes)

Our client, an established export table grape group, has a challenging career opportunity for a young dynamic, energetic individual with drive and a love of farming to join their successful team. This position is located in the Kakamas region (Northern Cape, South Africa) and reports to the Operations Manager.

 

Responsibilities:

• Management of a 50ha production unit including all aspects of production, labour, packhouse management and quality management

 Requirements:

• Grade 12 with a minimum of 5 years’ of experience in table grape production
• An agricultural background and qualification will serve as a further recommendation
• Thorough knowledge and experience in all aspects of irrigation, fertilizing and spraying of table grapes
• Basic technical and mechanical knowledge
• Good interpersonal relationships and communication skills
• Ability to maintain discipline
• Ability to work together in a team
• Ability to work under pressure
• Computer literate
