Programme Coordinator

South Africa Wine NPC, situated in Paarl, is the national body representing wine grape producers, cellars, wine-related businesses, and wholesalers. It provides essential support services to the wine and brandy value chain with the vision to enable it to become more robust, transformed, agile and competitive.
Duties include the following:
- Establish a programme management office to define and maintain standards for project management, provide guidance and support to ensure timeous execution of projects
- Provide programme management support and create a central cache for all industry projects underway across the various divisions
- Provide support and monitor the scoping of new projects to ensure that best practise is followed
- Measure and report on the progress of projects and their impact
- Make recommendations around refining processes and activities on improving ways of working, risk management and stakeholder communication
- Coordination of compliance related matters for South Africa Wine
- Assume responsibility for consolidated reporting
- Support the CEO and members of the Executive Team and ensure effective coordination and administration
- Liaise with the Board and committee members and oversee administrative tasks related to Board operations
- Monitor and adhere to divisional approved budget and finance related aspects
Requirements:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in project management
- 5 years’ experience in project management along with strong office management skills
- Proven knowledge of and experience in project management methods, software tools and best practices
- Ability to coordinate and manage projects through the full project life cycle
- Ability to provide guidance and standards for the execution of projects
- Ability to analyse and interpret data and information and make appropriate
recommendations based on findings
- Critical and innovative thinking skills
- Strong teamwork skills to collaborate effectively
- Problem-solving skills to address issues creatively and adjust plans as required
- Excellent oral, written, and communication skills with strong writing and editorial abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Financial acumen and experience in developing, monitoring, and adhering to budgets
- Well-versed in developing and interpreting analytical reports used to measure change
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, internet, media monitoring software, and other information gathering tools
- Knowledge of POPIA
