Head Monitor

Neethling Broers, a citrus and table grape producer in the Malmesbury/Riebeeck area, has a vacancy for a Head Monitor. The position will report to the production manager and is available immediately.

This is an ideal opportunity for an agriculture graduate that needs experience to start his/her career in agriculture to ultimately become a production manager and future farm manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring pests and plagues
  • Irrigation – maintenance and checking of probes, Agriwiz administration and measurements
  • Data collection – MRL, water, soil, leaf
  • Weekly fruit measurements during citrus packing season
  • Pest control
  • Transportation of staff

Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • A relevant tertiary education will be to your advantage
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel)
  • Good administrative and communication skills
  • Driver’s license
