Head of People Practices (Human Resources)

Our client is a leader in the citrus industry and a vertically integrated producer, packer and exporter, located in the Citrusdal valley. They have an opportunity for an energetic and driven individual to appoint as their Head of People Practices.

The purpose of the role is to fulfil a leadership, coordinating and supportive role to drive People Best Practices. The role will facilitate a values and culture driven environment, positioning the business as a leader in the international fresh produce industry.

The role will form part of the senior management team together with Heads of Business- & Functional Units and Group Entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • HR Strategy facilitation, execution and benchmarking
  • Facilitating a culture and values engagement
  • Recruitment and onboarding
  • Coordinating organizational development and training
  • Legal compliance, policies and procedures
  • Remuneration and incentive benefit practices
  • Health and Safety coordination and incident management
  • Custodian of people data and reporting

Requirements and Competencies:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and experience
  • Analytical, data and reporting skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong leadership, managerial, facilitation and execution skills
  • Energetic and driven
  • Strong belief in the potential of people and communities
  • Team player, interdependence, servant leadership
