People Practices Manager: Production
Our client is a leader in the citrus industry and a vertically integrated producer, packer and exporter, located in the Citrusdal valley has an opportunity for People Practices Manager to support our Production Business Unit.
The purpose of the role is to fulfil a coordination and supporting role to drive People Best Practices. The role will facilitate a values and culture driven environment, positioning the business as a leader in the international fresh produce industry. The role will form part of the production management team and will report cross-functionally to the Head of People Practices of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute HR Strategy and Practices within the Production Business Unit
- Facilitate Culture and Values Engagement
- Implement Industrial Relations (IR) Procedures & support Workers Committee
- Oversee Recruitment and Onboarding practices of wage level employees
- Ensure Legal Compliance, Policies and Procedures are followed and give support to compliance for Ethical Audits
- Reporting of Relevant People Data to production managers
- Housing Management and Solutions
- Play a supporting role to the rest of the HR team with regards to Health & Safety, Training and Compensation as relevant to the Production Business Unit
Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualification and experience
- Strong managerial, facilitation and execution skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Energetic and driven
- Good reporting skills
