Junior Electrician

Our client is a leading fruit packhouse and cold store facility located in Grabouw, Western Cape. They are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Junior Electrician to join their organization.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Be part of the electrical team
• Maintenance of all electrical equipment
• Implementing and improving preventative maintenance
• Logging job cards on the system
• Attending to breakdowns if and when required
• Ensure compliance with OHSACT
• Optimizing and fault-finding of various electrical and electronic systems (including packing, and sorting equipment)

REQUIREMENTS:

• Successful completion of the electrical trade test
• Wireman’s license
• PLC experience would be advantageous
• Mechanical experience would be advantageous
• Knowledge of OHSACT
• Physically fit and able to work at heights
• Willing to work overtime with standby responsibilities
