Tegniese Produksiebestuurder / Technical Production Manager

Ons kliënt in die Elgin-vallei is ‘n gevestigde produsent van appels en pere hoofsaaklik vir die uitvoermark. Hulle beskik tans oor ‘n geleentheid vir ‘n energieke en dinamiese individu wie toepaslik gekwalifiseerd en ervare is om by hul aan te sluit as hul Tegniese Produksiebestuurder.

Hierdie intreevlak bestuurspos rapporteer direk aan die Senior Produksiebestuurder en is ‘n geleentheid om saam met die boerdery te groei en ‘n loopbaan te bou in primêre landbou.

Verantwoordelikhede:

  • Akkurate hantering van alle landbou-toedienings en gepaardgaande rekords insluitend plaagbeheer en bemesting
  • Rekordprosedures tipies tot ‘n vrugte-plaas

Minimum vereistes:

  • Graad 12
  • ‘n Naskoolse landbou-kwalifikasie, maar ‘n BSc of Landbou-ekonomie sal sterk in jou guns tel
  • Vorige blootstelling en/of ervaring in die landbou-industrie
  • Gedrewe met die vermoë om effektief onder druk te funksioneer binne spanverband
  • Rekenaarvaardig met bogemiddelde vaardighede in MS Excel
  • Akkuraat met sterk syfervaardighede
  • Goeie beplannings- en organiseringsvaardighede
  • Goeie rekordhouding
  • Praktiese aanleg
  • Aanslag vir ordelike praktyke

Our client in the Elgin Valley is an established producer of apples and pears primarily for the export market. They currently have an opportunity for an energetic and dynamic individual who is suitably qualified and experienced to join their team as their Technical Production Manager.

This entry-level management position reports directly to the Senior Production Manager and is an opportunity to grow alongside the organisation and build a career in primary agriculture.

 Responsibilities:

  • Accurate handling of all agricultural applications and related records including pest control and fertilization
  • Record procedures typical to a fruit farm

 Minimum requirements:

  • Grade 12 with a suitable diploma/ degree in agriculture
  • A tertiary agricultural qualification, but a BSc or Agricultural Economics will count in your favour
  • Previous exposure and/or experience in the agricultural industry
  • Driven with the ability to function effectively under pressure within a team context
  • Computer literate with above average MS Excel skills
  • Accurate with strong numeracy skills
  • Good planning and organizing skills
  • Good record-keeping
  • Practical aptitude
  • An orderly approach to work
