Wage Clerk (Malmesbury area)

Our client, located in the Malmesbury region, is a well-established farm specialising in the production of high-quality table grapes and citrus. They are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Wage Clerk to join their team. This office-based position will play a key role in supporting their payroll and administrative functions and will report directly to the Admin Manager of the farm.

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing wages accurately and on time, maintaining employee records, and supporting general administrative duties. Attention to detail, strong numerical skills, and the ability to work under pressure is essential.

 The successful candidate will be expected to perform the following duties:

  • Perform general wage administration functions in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Capture and maintain employee records and supporting documentation on the Crest wage management system
  • Ensure accurate daily processing of attendance and wage registers
  • Download and manage data from biometric and/or other time and attendance devices
  • Attend to UIF enquiries and ensure timely submission of related documentation

 Requirements:

  • Minimum education: Matric with 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in wage administration, preferably in an agricultural or similar environment
  • Computer literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Skills and competencies: Strong numerical and administrative abilities. High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • System knowledge: Familiarity with FCS and/or Crest wage software will be an advantage
