Maintenance Coordinator (Swellendam)
Our client is a leading grower, packer, and exporter of fresh fruit (citrus, avocados and table grapes) in South Africa. Their production units are situated across the Western Cape, with their head office in Bellville near Cape Town.
The company has a vacancy for a Maintenance Coordinator at their farm in Buffeljags River, about 15km outside of Swellendam. The position will report to the area manager and is available immediately.
Responsibilities:
- Hostels and buildings:
- General repairs
- Gas installation/maintenance
- Manage cleaning teams
- Garden maintenance
- Workshop:
- General maintenance
- Auto electrical work
- Services
- Stock control
- Irrigation maintenance of:
- Pump houses
- Main lines
- Installations
- Boreholes
Job Requirements:
- Grade12
- Technical post matric qualification will be to your advantage
- Basic knowledge of mechanical /electrical maintenance
- Proven technical aptitude
- Organisational & supervisory skills
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
- Driver’s license will be beneficial
- Own accommodation and transport in Swellendam or surrounding area
