Table Grape Production Manager (Piketberg)

Our client is a leading grower, packer, and exporter of fresh fruit (citrus and table grapes) in South Africa. Their production units are situated across the Western Cape, with their head office in Bellville near Cape Town. They have a vacancy for an experienced table grape production manager at their farm, about 10km outside of Piketberg. The position will report to the area manager and is available immediately.

A market related total cost to company package is offered with pension fund benefits.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Production: Knowledge and experience of modern management and viticulture practices.
  • Personnel and administration: Labour planning and management
  • Financial: Cost control by focusing on productivity and budget management

Requirements:

  • Matric with a relevant tertiary qualification in agriculture
  • Minimum ten years’ experience in table grape production and management practices
  • Computer literate (Outlook, Word, Excel etc)
  • Good communication and leadership skills
