Diesel Mechanic
Our client is one of the major role players in the pome fruit industry, located in Grabouw. They are seeking a dynamic Diesel Mechanic to join their engineering team.
Main duties:
- Responsible for fleet maintenance as per scheduled maintenance plan.
- Fault finding ability.
- Adhere to safe working procedures.
- Log job cards on the system.
- Attend to breakdowns if and when required.
- Any other duties that may be required.
Requirements:
- Mechanical trade test certificate as a Diesel Mechanic.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a mechanical workshop.
- Willing to work shifts and overtime.
- Sound technical knowledge of trucks, forklifts and other diesel vehicles.
- Valid Driver’s license (Code EC with a valid PDP or Forklift license will be an advantage).
- Computer literacy
- Medically fit to perform the duties as a mechanic
