Financial Manager
Our client is a producer, packer, and exporter of quality citrus fruit located in the Citrusdal Valley. They are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Manager to support their financial compliance, corporate governance, contract management and payroll processing functions.
Reporting to the Company Secretary, this multifaceted role ensures adherence to South African regulatory frameworks and support commercial and financial teams in managing contracts and legal agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial & Tax Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with South African tax legislation as well as foreign jurisdictions in which the
- group operates.
- Maintain required SARB approvals.
- Lead external and internal audits.
- Monitor & enhance internal controls and compliance procedures.
- Monitor changes in financial legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Corporate Governance & Secretarial Support:
- Support the Company Secretary in ensuring compliance with corporate governance best practices.
- Assist with the preparation of board & committee packs.
- Minuting board and committee meetings and monitor follow-up actions.
- Contract Management & Legal Support:
- Assist in the review and tracking of contract terms, renewals, and compliance obligations.
- Support the commercial teams in drafting, reviewing, and finalising agreements.
- Support in due diligence of potential investments.
- Ensure contracts are aligned with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a central repository of commercial contracts and agreements.
- Payroll & Salary Processing:
- Perform monthly salary payroll processing with related employee benefits and reconciliation
- thereof in the GL.
- Maintain remuneration records for the Remuneration Committee.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
- 3+ years’ experience in compliance, audit, or financial accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of South African tax laws, payroll legislation, IFRS, Companies Act, King IV,
- BBBEE, POPIA, FIC, etc.
- Proficiency in accounting, payroll, and document management systems (Microsoft environment
- preferred).
- Excellent communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information confidentially.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
