Head of Engineering (Water, Infrastructure and Energy)

Our client is a leading citrus producer, packer and exporter in the Citrusdal Valley. They are seeking a dynamic individual to drive innovation and excellence, helping to shape the future of sustainable citrus production.

Key focus areasĀ 

  • Water Resource Management: Optimise water usage and infrastructure
  • Irrigation Infrastructure: Manage and improve irrigation systems
  • Civil Works: Oversee roads, drainage, orchard netting, and farm development
  • Energy: Lead energy efficiency initiatives and projects
  • GIS Data Systems: Manage spatial data for informed decision – making
  • Construction Infrastructure: Drive construction projects, including buildings and farm infrastructure

Key responsibilities:Ā 

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction
  • Drive maintenance excellence and operational efficiency
  • Facilitate Farm Development plans to unlock farm potential
  • Manage budgets and ensure compliance
  • Collaborate with cross – functional teams
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree (Agricultural, Civil, Mechanical) or similar
  • 5+ years’ management experience in agriculture or operations
  • Experience with water, irrigation, and energy systems
  • Strong project management, leadership, and problem -solving skills
