Production Manager (Mixed Farming)

Our client is a well-established mixed farming business nestled in the scenic Citrusdal area. Committed to sustainable farming practices and renowned for their high-quality agricultural products, they are a trusted name in the industry. They are currently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Production Manager with strong technical agricultural knowledge and excellent people skills to join their team.

Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • Production Operations: Planning, implementing, monitoring and supervising agricultural processes, including irrigation and production to ensure productivity and quality
  • Technical Management: Planning, implementing and monitoring agricultural programmes for crop health and crop protection; Ensuring optimal utilization of farm equipment
  • People Management: Monitoring and supervising employees; identifying potential and providing necessary training

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Agriculture
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position, including in a supervisory or management capacity
  • Strong technical knowledge of fruit crops and agricultural processes
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (Afrikaans & English)
  • Good computer literacy (MS Office)
  • Valid driver’s license
