Production Manager

Our client based in the Drakenstein area is looking to appoint a Production Manager to join their team.

The position requires the full management of the production facility which includes responsibility for:

• Planning of shifts to meet orders
• Maintenance management
• Staff motivation and discipline
• Budgeting and control
• Procurement of raw materials
• Consistent quality production

Requirements:

• Grade 12 (a tertiary qualification (preferably an agricultural diploma) will be advantageous)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing perishable products in a pack house
• Experience quality systems and audits
• Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills
• Strong numerical and planning skills
• Computer Literacy- must be proficient in Excel
• Self-disciplined, a team player, honest and of high integrity
• Attention to detail, deadline orientated and able to perform independently
• Able to work under pressure while meeting the set targets & deadlines
• Willing to work overtime and weekends
