Draughtsman

Our client is a leading manufacturer and distributor of high quality small and large-scale fruit and vegetable grading and sorting equipment. They are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced individual to join their team. This position is based Paarl.

Main responsibilities:

• Working and managing design time accordingly to the project schedule set out for each project
• Design of machines relevant to the appropriate project at hand
• All administration related to the design process
• Follow up on laser cutting
• Induction and training of new personnel in the drawing office
• Updating and maintaining of the company’s Standards Database
• Internal Project Management
• Provided design input and solutions
• Data Pack Overview
• Jigs Design
• Standardization of certain components / machines

Requirements:

• A relevant qualification as a Draughtsman
• At least 5 years’ of experience in a relevant position
• Accurate with the ability to work well under pressure
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Computer literate (MS Office, design programs)
