Local Marketer

Our client is one of the major role players in the pome fruit industry, situated in Grabouw. They are looking for a dynamic, energetic Local Marketer to join their marketing team.

Duties will include but will not be limited to:

• As the local marketer you will be in charge of current key accounts as well as potential new customers
• All interactions with the local market as well as all sales correspondence
• Responsible for all market feedback to growers as well as management
• Sustainable market growth to complement the growth of the organization
• Planning of packing requirements for the local market as well as understanding of pricing and the ability to establish market related prices
• Organisational skills to complete orders and the ability to book transport and arrange loading and offloading

The ideal candidate should have the following:

• Relevant tertiary qualification will count in your favour
• At least 3-5 years’ experience in fruit marketing or the fruit industry
• The ability to work in a fast pace environment with enthusiasm
• The required adaptability associated with the fruit industry marketing environment
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Ability to work in a team
• Ability to coordinate packing of products according to market opportunities and requirements
