Financial Manager

Our client in the fruit packing industry is seeking to appoint a Financial Manager whose main duty will be the overall control and responsibility of all financial aspects of the company. The incumbent will also be responsible for the flow of financial information to the Managing Director and the Board of Directors. This position is based between Paarl and Franschhoek.

 Responsibilities:

  • Monthly financial management statements
  • Reporting on annual budget and monthly deviations
  • Implementation / enforcement / management of internal controls and effective financial systems
  • Cost analysis and financial reporting
  • Annual audit
  • Financial management, management of debtors and cash flow
  • Financial planning
  • Management statements and liaison with management team and board of directors
  • Annual audit
  • Management of admin staff
  • Statutory and secretarial obligations (VAT, PAYE and SDL)
  • Salaries and wages

Requirements:

  • Comm / B. Acc Honours degree with preferably completed SAICA Articles (CA/CIMA) backed by at least five years of relevant experience
  • Experience in the agricultural, packaging and / or processing sector will count in the candidate’s favour
  • Good computer skills (Microsoft Office & Pastel)
  • Negotiation Skills
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Strong human relations with the ability to manage and motivate people
