Fruit Marketing Manager
Our client has extensive grapes and citrus operations throughout South Africa and would like to appoint a suitably qualified individual as their Marketing Manager. This position is based in Wellington.
Main duties:
- Source additional fruit (grapes, apples, pears and plums) from local / national farmers / co-ops
- Sell the (citrus and other) fruits to contacts / connections internationally
Minimum requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in marketing / sales
- A minimum of 10-15 years’ sales / marketing experience within the fruit export and/or import industry
- Knowledge of fruit export documentation
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English
- Excellent computer literacy, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience with a pallet management system will be an advantage
- Self-motivated, dynamic, result driven, exceptional attention to detail and able to take initiative
- Team player
- International travel will be required from time to time
