Table Grape Production Manager
Our client specializes in the production and export of table grapes and currently has an excellent opportunity for a hardworking and motivated individual to join their company. The specific production unit is located in the Porterville area. The Production Manager will report to the Senior Production Manager.
Responsibilities
- Management and further development of unit in collaboration with the Senior production manager
- Management of production quality
- Irrigation
- Fertilisation and spraying of unit in collaboration with Senior Production Manager
- Warehouse management
- Recruitment and training of staff
Requirements:
- Grade 12 with an appropriate qualification in agriculture
- Minimum of 4 year’s relevant experience in table grape production
- Basic knowledge of management systems (GlobalGap, etc.)
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Must be skilled in record keeping and administration
- Good interpersonal relationships and communication skills
- Computer literate
