Workshop Manager
Our client is a leading manufacturer and distributor of high quality small and large-scale fruit and vegetable grading and sorting equipment. They are seeking to appoint a hardworking, suitably qualified and experienced Workshop Manager to join their team. This position will report to the Operations Manager where the main function will be the execution of the Assembly department. This position is based in the Boland.
Main duties:
- Production planning and execution
- Productivity management
- Human resource management
- General management of the workshop
- Health and safety of the workshop
- Inventory
- Stock management
- Vehicle management
Requirements:
- A Grade 12 with relevant technical qualification (trade)
- 5 – 8 years’ relevant experience, which includes running a workshop
- Design experience (CAD) will be advantageous
- Ability to function well within a team
- Good communication skills
- Excellent skills in planning and organizing
- Good interpersonal relations
- Ability to work under pressure
