Production Manager

Our client, situated between Paarl and Franschhoek is looking for a Production Manager for their pome and stone fruit division to join their team.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Production, orchard management and new development
  • Assist with management of infrastructure and buildings
  • Stock control
  • Assist with managing the production budget and production statistics reports
  • Human Resource Management
  • Planning of production improvement activities
  • Quality control
  • Training and development

Requirements:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification
  • 3-5 years practical production management experience
  • Production and technical knowledge of Pome – and Stone Fruit (plums, pears and citrus)
  • Effective communication skills
  • Human Resource experience, managerial- and leadership skills
  • Organizational and planning ability with an administrative flair
  • Able to work independent and take initiative
  • Flexible, able to handle conflict and criticism
  • Computer literacy (MS Office)
  • Good interpersonal skills and knowledge of working in a matrix structure
  • High energy levels
  • Problem solving and entrepreneurial skills
