Production Manager: Packing
Our client is a producer-packer-exporter of citrus situated in the Citrusdal area. They are seeking to appoint a Production Manager: Packing.
This position will form part of a cross functional management team and report to the Operations Manager: Packing.
The role is responsible for the operational implementation of the following functions:
- Production Scheduling (Including Packing line, auto-packers and box folding)
- Automation (Expert on capabilities and operation of packing and palletizing automation as well as fruit classification technology employed at the organisation)
- Production optimisation and productivity management (overall equipment efficiency and accurate execution of packing instruction)
Requirements and Competencies:
- Applicable tertiary qualification (e.g. B.Eng. Degree or Diploma)
- 2-3 years’ relevant and proven operational experience
- Advanced management and numerical capability
- Computer Literacy
- Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
- Willingness and ability to work and prosper within a team environment
- Self-motivated, driven, resilient and humble
