Refrigeration Manager
Our client in the farming and fruit packing industry is currently seeking to appoint a Refrigeration Manager for multiple sites based in the Ceres and Prins Alfred Hamlet region.
The ideal candidate must have extensive relevant experience and will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks & monitoring of cold rooms.
Responsibilities further include:
- Management of external contractors & suppliers
- The effectiveness of ammonia plants (19.4 MWR) through ongoing maintenance and upgrades
- Compliance of SABS 10147 of ammonia plants
- Oversight over installation of ammonia machinery, network and electrical installations
- Budget management per plant in cooperation with inhouse managers
- Risk and energy management all other aspects related to the role
Qualifications, skills and experience:
- B.Eng Engineering degree / Diploma in engineering / refrigeration craftsmanship
- 5 to 10 years in-depth ammonia experience
- Experience with refrigeration of fresh produce (fruits & vegetables) will be advantageous
- SAQGAS category B Certificate
- Fundamental electrical knowledge
- Strong interpersonal skills
