Business Systems Engineer

Our client is a vertically integrated citrus producer, packer and marketer to global markets. They are seeking a suitable candidate to focus on integration and optimisation of systems, processes and data throughout their organisation. This position is based in Citrusdal.

Purpose and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Business Intelligence Manager this role will focus on integration and optimisation of systems, processes and data throughout the Group and will be responsible for:

  • Building & optimising data import processes (paperless environment)
  • Data structuring automation (data integrity)
  • Systems integration & process improvement
  • Real-time problem solving through data design & reporting (BI)
  • Support operational decision making based on relevant data analysis

 Requirements for the position:

  • A relevant B.Eng degree with a strong focus on Industrial Engineering
  • Effective communication skills (English & Afrikaans)
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to make responsible and calculated decisions
  • Ability to identify critical trends / patterns
  • Software development
  • Self-driven personality with ability to function independently as well as in group contexts
  • Project Management skills
  • Sound business acumen
