Production Manager: Packing and Automation

Our client, a vertically integrated citrus producer, packer and marketer to global markets, is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced candidate to join their team as the Production Manager for Packing and Automation.  This position will form part of a cross functional management team and will report to the Operations Manager: Packing. This position is based in Citrusdal.

The role is responsible for the operational implementation of the functions below:

  • Automation (Expert on capabilities and operation of packing and palletizing automation as well as fruit classification technology employed at the organization)
  • Production Scheduling (Including Packing line, auto-packers and box folding)
  • Production Optimization and Productivity Management (Overall equipment efficiency and accurate execution of packing instruction)

Requirements and Competencies:

  • Applicable tertiary qualification (e.g. B.Eng. Degree), with a continuous learning attitude
  • 3-5 Years’ relevant and proven operational experience
  • Advanced management and numerical capability
  • Computer literate
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
  • Willingness and ability to work and prosper within a team environment
  • Self-motivated, driven, resilient and humble
