Quality Manager

Our client is an established name in the fruit industry and would like to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced individual as a Quality Manager for their operations in the Eastern Cape.

The main duties of this position include, but are not limited to: 

  • Quality management
  • Communication and alignment between production and the commercial division
  • Managing stakeholder relationships
  • Quality assurance and control
  • Administrative duties

Requirements:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification
  • Extensive industry and commodity knowledge
  • Strong growers/packer relationships
  • Experience in the perishable fruit logistics supply chain will be a significant advantage
  • Computer literate (MS Office including Excel)
  • Sound experience of fruit quality management systems and phytosanitary requirements
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work independently and function under pressure and to deadlines
  • Good communication, both written and verbal
  • Understand data sets, workflows, and business processes
  • A highly organised and flexible approach to work, including the ability to prioritise workload
