Commercial Manager

Our client, based in Port Elizabeth, is an exporter of fresh, frozen and dried fruit. They are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to appoint as their Commercial Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing customer relationships
  • Provide costings for all products
  • Credits insurance on customers
  • Ensure supply and demand needs match
  • Negotiate freight rates

Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • A relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous
  • At least 10 years’ experience in the fruit export industry of which 5 years must be commercial experience
  • Strong, interpersonal and negotiating skills
  • Ability to maintain good relationships with growers and clients
  • Strong administration skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to plan strategically
  • Computer literate with advanced Excel
