Financial Manager

Our client is a producer and agro-processor of citrus, deciduous fruit, rooibos tea and wine grapes in the Citrusdal region is seeking to appoint a Financial Manager.

Key Performance Areas: 

  • Responsible for bookkeeping up to trail balance
  • Processing of cash books & bank reconciliations
  • Management of debtors and creditors-functions
  • Oversee weekly wage allocations
  • Processing and reconciliation of inter-group transactions and loan accounts
  • Annual operating and capital budgets
  • Cashflow forecast and management
  • Statutory reporting such as Income Tax, VAT, EMP, Diesel Rebates
  • B-BBEE verification and external audits
  • General administration

Requirements:

  • Comm/B. Acc degree with completed articles
  • 1-3 Years’ accounting experience (background in the agri industry will be beneficial)
  • Knowledge of financial management concepts, principles and procedures
  • Proven understanding of relevant legislation
  • Advanced MS Excel-skills
  • Working knowledge of Pastel Partner and/or EzyWine
  • Strong analytical skills and a sound grasp of systems
  • Sound interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team and also cross functional
  • Works well under pressure
  • Self-driven and innovative,
  • Accuracy and adaptability in a dynamic working environment
  • Relevant knowledge and understanding of Human Resources will strengthen your application
