Commercial Market Manager

Our client is a completely integrated international fruit grower, producer, and exporter. They are currently seeking a Commercial Market Manager to join their team.

This position will work closely with the Logistics, Technical and Trade Finance departments to ensure efficient and best practice service to their clients. This position reports to the General Manager and will be based at their Citrusdal Office.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Draft a sales / marketing strategy for the different markets in conjunction with the Commercial team that will include a specific customer strategy
  • Manage and analyze export costings
  • Responsible for the marketing and procurement for specific markets
  • Ensure that sales prices and market conditions are communicated on a regular basis which might include direct grower communication
  • Building and maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Manage the supply and demand plan between the customer and grower
  • Strategic planning of export logistics
  • Control stock (inventory) age and ensure fruit is sold within agreed guidelines
  • Interact between different diversities in the organization
  • Claim management of allocated customers according to all protocols

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification in Marketing/Logistics
  • Marketing experience in the fruit industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Afrikaans
  • Good management skills and negotiating skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Computer literate
