National Sales Manager

Our client, Saxenburg Wine Farm, based in Stellenbosch, are looking for a dynamic, professional and results orientated National Sales Manager.

The successful candidate will be based on the farm but will be required to travel on occasion.

The main objectives of the position are to maintain and develop relationships with existing and new clients based on national strategy and to ensure that key results areas are achieved through the most effective and efficient utilisation of resources, in order to achieve marketing, sales and distribution objectives, as well as growing the brand equity of the business.

The National Sales Manager is required to be independent, organised and lead their team by example, and to formulate a coherent and well budgeted strategy to grow the company’s sales, as well as its customer base and most importantly the brand equity. The National Sales Manager is required to supply their team with coherent strategies, sales targets, and expectations, as well as extend their guidance and mentorship.

Furthermore, the National Sales Manager is expected to oversee and manage all aspects of the company’s sales and marketing, which include the following areas:

  • On- and off-consumption trade
  • Corporate Clients
  • Private Customers
  • Tasting Room at Saxenburg
  • This includes doing in store tastings, managing client farm visits, events, festivals, etc.

Requirements:

  • Experience and a proven track record in wine sales and key account management
  • Experience in relationship building and brand management.
  • Knowledge and a passion for wine
  • Well organised and with the ability to lead a team of sales representatives
