Senior Production Manager

Our client is seeking to appoint a Senior Production Manager to take responsibility over 90 hectares of pome and stone fruit. In this position, the incumbent will provide a wide range of services and practices to two production units. The position is based in Villiersdorp.

The main duties include:

  • Manage all facets of production, e.g. fertilizing, irrigation, pruning, canopy management, ripeness monitoring, etc.
  • Personnel Management
  • Assistance with other farming disciplines
  • Providing support and mentorship to staff

The ideal candidate will have:

  • An appropriate agricultural qualification with at least 8-10 years of experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to function well within team context and to motivate people
  • Good interpersonal and management skills
  • Good computer skills (MS Office)
