Sea Logistics Customer Care Reefer Expert

Our client are leaders in the logistics industry, and they deliver high quality solutions to their customers. They are seeking to appoint a Sea Logistics Customer Care Reefer Expert to join their team. This position is based in Cape Town. 

YOUR ROLE

Sea Logistics Customer Care Expert supports customers by providing helpful information, answering questions, and responding to complaints. This role provides front line support for customers and ensures that customers are satisfied with products, services, and features. The incumbent will be accountable for maintaining excellent service for their internal and external customers and is the account owner of house accounts (personally own an account portfolio).

 Responsibilities:

  • Arrange export shipments – logistics as well as required perishable documentation for inspections
  • Knowledge of import country requirements at the time of booking
  • Deal with transporters to arrange placing of containers and availability of trucks , Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development (DAFF) for the inspection of fruit for certain markets ( person requires the knowledge of which markets these are ) , Cold stores to arrange placing of containers , time and coordination , Perishable Products Export Control Board (PPECB) for the inspection of the fruit ,  Carriers to place the booking , availability of slots , equipment and vessels , Clients – to receive orders , communication , accurate instructions
  • Take ownership of transport delays avoid cost for service failure

 Requirements:

  • Grade 12, national qualification
  • An undergraduate university degree is an advantage
  • Strong analytical & organizing skills
  • Communication & conflict resolution skills
  • Decision making & problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time management skill, must have proven track record of meeting tight deadlines
  • Committed, customer orientated, accountable
  • Willingness to be available after hours
  • Structured and results driven
  • Ability to work independently, and make sound decisions
  • Ability to work under pressure, be proactive, self – initiative.
