Media Advertising & Business Development Specialist
WineLand Media – a division of Vinpro – requires a motivated, innovative, and organised advertising and Business Development Specialist to grow its advertising, sponsorship, and digital media sales.
The ideal candidate is a target-driven, organised self-starter with advertising and sales experience. A degree/diploma in marketing/ sales and fluency in Afrikaans and English would be beneficial. Computer literacy, strong administration skills and a driver’s licence is necessary.
The candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Selling advertising for WineLand Media’s publications to direct clients and representative advertising agencies
- New business development in terms of features, collaborations and sponsorships (events, competitions, and seminars)
- Compiling and expanding a secure data base of all these advertisers and their relevant fields of supply
- Attending industry and advertising related functions
- Networking with existing and new business clients
- Set up client meetings and visit clients regularly
- Delivering on ad material by required deadline and verifying material against required specifications across print and digital
- Keep monthly schedules for advertising placements across print and digital
- Update budgets and monthly income
- Assisting accounts department should a creditor be in default
