Tasting Room Manager

Our client, situated just outside of Paarl, is one of South Africa’s leading wine producers. They are seeking to appoint a Tasting Room Manager to join their team.

The Tasting Room Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Presentation of the tasting room environment and staff
  • All tastings including initiating strategies for the development of private tastings
  • Support the Events Manager in events and corporate functions
  • Financials relating to case sales budget, stock control and monthly Tasting Room reporting
  • Supervision of cellar door staff and compiling of duty rosters
  • General administrative tasks

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 with a relevant wine qualification
  • 2 – 3 Year’s tasting room management and sales experience
  • Customer service focussed
  • Computer literate (MS Office)
  • Experience in EzyWine will be advantageous
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Good interpersonal relations. Furthermore demonstrates strong leadership qualities, responsibility, precision, accuracy, reliability, organisation and control are requirements as well as fluency in English and Afrikaans (a third language would be an advantage)
  • Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays
