Fruit Quality Coordinator

A fruit export company, based in Stellenbosch in the Western Cape, requires a competent person to fill the above permanent, office-based position. They are looking for a self-disciplined, independent individual who is focused on producing high quality, detailed work within a team environment.

 Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Manage the fruit quality processes with regards to packing and final product in conjunction with the Area Representatives
  • Collect and manage data to make sure it is accurate, trustworthy and in a presentable/usable format for all relative departments
  • Oversee and ensure compliance to quality and food safety standards
  • Ensure that pre-season planning is in place and aligned with the Sales, Pre-Harvest, Post-Harvest and Logistics Team
  • Conduct post season reconciliations, reports and solve post-season queries
  • Close co-operation with growers and pack houses
  • Ad hoc duties and responsibilities assigned by senior management 

Qualifications and Requirements: 

  • B.Sc or other relevant agricultural qualification
  • A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Excellent computer proficiency (specifically Microsoft Excel)
  • Strong data processing skills/ability
