Production Manager: Table Grapes (Clanwilliam)
Our client is a leading grower, packer, and exporter of fresh fruit (citrus and table grapes) in South Africa. Our production units are situated across the Western Cape, with our head office in Bellville near Cape Town.
The company has a vacancy for an experienced Table Grape Production Manager at Radyn farm, about 10km north of Clanwilliam. The position will report to the General Manager and is available immediately.
A market related total cost to company package is offered with pension fund benefits.
Main responsibilities:
- Production: Table grape production and all related aspects
- Personnel and administration: Labour planning and management
- Financial: Cost control by focusing on productivity, budget management
Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in agriculture
- A minimum of five years’ experience in table grape production and management practices
- Knowledge/ experience in modern management and viticulture practices
- Computer literate (Outlook, Word, Excel etc)
- Good communication and leadership skills
