Financial Officer (Half-day, 2-year Fixed Term position)

Our client’s purpose is to assist the wine industry by turning data into information that helps turn challenges into opportunities. A vacancy exists from March 2023 within Financial Services for a suitably qualified individual.

Reporting to the Manager: Financial Services, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Reconciliations and payments
  • Updating accounting records to trial balance
  • Monthly financial management reports
  • Handling of and liaising with debtors
  • Ad hoc financial- and administrative tasks

Requirements

  • A Financial diploma with at least 3 years of relevant experience in a financial environment
  • Sound knowledge of VAT legislation
  • Computer literate in MS Office programs (Sage Evolution exposure will be advantageous)
  • Sound communication skills – verbal and written
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent numerical skills, analytical abilities and accuracy
  • Should be able to function independently and in a team
  • Good time management and service orientated
  • A dynamic, professional, energetic and innovative individual
