Maintenance Coordinator (Piketberg)

Our client is an internationally recognised grower, packer and exporter of citrus fruit and table grapes. Their farms and packhouses are situated across the Western Cape, with their head office in Bellville.

The company has a vacancy for a Maintenance Coordinator at their grape and citrus packhouse near Piketberg.

The position will report to the Packhouse Manager and is available immediately.

Duties:

  • Supervise maintenance staff in packhouse
  • Preventative maintenance on all machines and equipment
  • Report and repair any breakdowns
  • Perform daily inspections
  • General building maintenance
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations

 Requirements:

  • Post-matric and hold any of the following qualifications:
  • N3 Fitter or electrician
  • NQF4 Fitter or electrician
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Willing to work irregular/night shift and long hours (as required in the packing industry)
  • Oversee the storage and handling of table grapes and citrus
  • Experience in cold room maintenance will be an advantage
