Office Manager (Finance & Administration)

Our client is an internationally recognised grower, packer and exporter of citrus fruit and table grapes. Their farms and packhouses are situated across the Western Cape, with their head office in Bellville. The company has a vacancy for an Office Manager, responsible for finance and administration at their farm close to Riviersonderend. The position will report to the Farm Manager and is available immediately.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a small team
  • Provide accurate reports re monthly wages & other expenses
  • Support management with variance reports
  • HR administration, UIF, PAYE & all relevant payments, as well as overseeing wage payroll
  • Administer food safety systems and prepare for annual audits (Global Gap, SIZA, etc)
  • Monitor spray and fertilization records
  • Oversee stock control and record keeping
  • Bank payment responsibilities
  • Ad hoc tasks and support to the farm manager

 

Responsibilities:

  • Grade 12 with relevant tertiary qualification
  • At least 3 years relevant experience in a similar position with knowledge of general farm administration/ finance
  • Knowledge of an accounting package
  • Proficiency in MS Excel
  • Sound communication and organizational skills

 

A market related total cost to company package with pension fund benefits is offered.
