Production Manager (Pome & Stone Fruit)

Our client, a grower of pome and stone fruit requires the services of a self-motivated, goal-driven Production Manager with relevant experience and qualifications for a management position in the Witzenberg area.

Responsibilities:

  • Control and effective management of all production facets (pruning, thinning, fertilizer and irrigation) of relevant business branches (stone and pome fruits) to create a thriving unit
  • Effective record keeping
  • Effective and purposeful management of workforce for a division including Supervisors
  • Adherence and maintenance of quality management systems including Global Gap etc.

Requirements:

  • Agricultural training and or at least 3 years of relevant similar experience
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to manage independently at times
  • Honest, dynamic and hardworking (“hands on”)
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Administration and computer skills
